Lovely walk in a beatiful forest/ park with wide variety of trees
Very pretty place and friendly staff. The map isn't very easy to follow but all the paths seem to take you on the right route so you can just enjoy your walk.
This is a great place to take the kids. Lots of woods to explore, den building and tree climbing. Even though it's a bird sanctuary, they are allowed to make noise! (Except near/in the hide). A collection of interesting bones/nests/nature bits at beginning of the walks and you can pick up a nature spotting sheet too if you want. Can buy ice creams and gifts from shop (leave kids in garden and go and buy ice creams!!) Car parking charge, 6, but goes to the RSPB.
Delightful walk. Great morning out for the kids. There's a small area with a lot of trimmed wood and branches, with visitors encouraged to build little houses and such. Great place to visit
Lovely RSPB reserve. Always wanted to go as it's the HQ of RSPB. Was very pretty and the walk around the old quarry is so beautiful and relaxing. I really liked the reserve, looses a star due to no cafe on site! Be warned, bring pack up or get food before.
